Ogechi Ibekwe is from Nigeria (West Africa). Born to an Igbo father and a Yoruba mother;  She spent her growing up years in Lagos and Ile-Ife.  She describes Yoruba as the most passionate language next to Spanish. “Oge” as she likes to be called migrated to the United States In 2011 and tried a corporate stint before falling back on her first love – poetry, art, fashion, and technology.

Lina OAK is the acronym of her given names – “(E)valina, (O)gechi, (A)yobamidele, and (K)ike. She has 2 siblings- Temidayo and Victor Ibekwe.

  1. Very nice, love your name Oge ( could be interpreted as Babe, or indeed Gay {not the negative sex term) love how you compare Yoruba to Spanish. they definitely are both Passionate Languages when spoken and by the Speakers, same could be said of Italian..
